Sky and Sevyn Missing Persons Case Omaha Nebraska United States, two brothers abducted at gunpoint in alleged revenge plot
Authorities in Omaha, Nebraska are investigating a disturbing abduction incident involving two young brothers, Sky and Sevyn, ages 9 and 10, who were reportedly taken at gunpoint and threatened by armed suspects.
According to the Omaha Police Department, the boys were walking along a familiar path to a nearby convenience store when they were approached by two armed individuals and forced into a vehicle.
Police identified the suspects as Juantez Ruffin, 19, and James Barnes, 18. Investigators say the suspects were allegedly armed with an AR-15-style rifle and other weapons at the time of the incident.
Authorities report that the suspects threatened the boys and attempted to coerce them into assisting with an alleged revenge plot involving a third party. The children were reportedly instructed to approach a residence under false pretenses as part of the scheme.
The situation came to an end after police conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle following a report from a concerned individual. Sky and Sevyn were safely recovered and returned home. Officials confirmed that the boys were not physically injured, though the incident has left them emotionally shaken.
Family members say the children are now fearful and reluctant to go outside following the traumatic experience. Their mother has expressed concern about the lasting psychological impact and plans to increase security measures at their home.
Both suspects are facing multiple charges, including kidnapping and felony child abuse, and are being held on a high bond. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects did not know the victims prior to the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to gather evidence and prepare for legal proceedings.
